We’re excited to see that you have chosen to embark upon this journey either as a cadet or parent/guardian. Below is a layout of the steps involved in the AMP (Admissions Mentoring and Placement) Phase of the process. Our recruiters are dedicated professionals skilled in the art of changing lives.
Now that you have decided on attending, the first step is to pair you with a recruiter. Our recruiters are here to assist you in every aspect of the enrollment process. Recruiters are assigned areas of responsiblity that consists of groups of counties within Kentucky. If you are unsure who your recruiter is please see our recruiting page in order to be matched with a recruiter. Once matched, the recruiter will be able to walk you through the remainder of the process to ensure there are no problems that may hold up enrollment during the screening process.
Once you have completed step 1, your recruiter will either schedule a visit or direct you to the next step. You will need to complete an application packet and submit it to your recruiter in order to begin the screening process. The screening process is designed to ensure the applicant meets the criteria for participation in the Youth Challenge program. If any problems are identified, you will be notified and our staff will work with you to correct any issues if a solution is available. For your convenience, we have implemented two options for completing your application. You may either download a copy of of our application or you may fill out the application online. On either option, a recruiter will be available to you to help you through the process. Use the buttons below to use the most convenient method to complete your application.
Once all documents have been received, the academy will review the application packet and make a determination for acceptance. At this point, should the packet be accepted, you will receive correspondence from the academy detailing the next steps and info. If a cadet’s packet is denied, you will receive notification on the reason and what, if any, steps can be taken to rectify the issues at hand. Once cadets have completed the acceptance process, you are merely waiting for intake day to arrive.
